Collaboration with Rachel Bernsen
I am currently collaborating with choreographer Rachel Bernsen and vocalist Anne Rhodes on a few pieces. One entitled Unicorns were Horses, the other called User. Unicorns centers on the interpretation and deconstruction of
songs by Gnarls Barkley and N.E.R.D. The resulting piece combines movement with experimental and traditional vocals, electronic music, and solo bass music. User utilizes spotlights and focuses on highly nuanced sonic environments with gradual movement in and out of the light and into solo, duo, and trio spaces.
